¶1 The board of directors of the Clark County Public Transportation Benefit Area (C-TRAN) adopted resolutions in 2005 and 2011 that proposed ballot measures authorizing an increase in sales and use taxes available to C-TRAN to fund public transportation. Voters passed both ballot measures. In 2012, C-TRAN’s board approved a $53 million Fourth Plain Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, which is designed to provide more efficient bus service along Fourth Plain Boulevard between downtown Vancouver and Westfield Vancouver Mall.
