— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Goldstein, J.), rendered June 2, 1987, convicting him of criminal possession of stolen property in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
Contrary to the defendant’s present contention, the prosecu*718tion sustained its burden of demonstrating that, after being apprised of the consequences of his failure to appear for trial, the defendant knowingly, voluntarily and intelligently waived his right to be present at trial.
