1. Invoking the original jurisdiction of this court in such cases, the petitioner sued out a writ of mandamus against the defendant to compel him to pay a warrant issued by the Secretary of State for services alleged to have been performed by Claude McColloch, under appointment by the corporation commissioner, and afterward assigned to the plaintiff.
