MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

GLASSER, District Judge:

The government filed this civil action under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-1968 (1982 and Supp. IV 1986), 1 on August 25, 1987, and filed an Amended Verified Complaint on October 5, 1987. The Amended Complaint names as defendants “the Bonanno Organized Crime Family of La Cosa Nostra” and twenty-two additional individuals and entities.
