I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA (“National Union”), commenced this action by filing a complaint “in the nature of interpleader” pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1335 on February 21, 1996. National Union seeks relief against defendants Drzislav Coric, Theresa Higgins, Herbert Karp, Matthew Massaro and Kerrie Rogers, each of whom claim — or may claim— an interest in a $5 million insurance policy issued by National Union.
