Melinda Turner was convicted of the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Maxwell Pomeroy, Jr. She appeals as a matter of right from a judgment of the Scott Circuit Court sentencing her to thirty years' imprisonment for murder and for being a first-degree persistent felony offender.
