This case was one of a number which involved the question of the nature of the jurisdiction to be exercised by this court in appeals from the determination of the Public Service Commission fixing the valuation of the property of a public service company, used and useful for the service of the public, upon which it was entitled to receive a reasonable return, in proceedings to fix the rates which the public service company might lawfully charge.
