This was a suit in an action of debt by defendant in error against plaintiff in error, to recover the amount of a judgment rendered in the Circuit Court of La Salle County in favor of the defendant in error against the Chicago & St. Louis Railway Co. for $5,000 and interest, of date May 7, A. D. 1891, on a certain cause of action accruing prior to June 6, 1886, for wrongfully killing Edward W. Ashling, deceased, and for recovery of which suit was brought on said latter date.
