On August 18th, 1977, the plaintiffs initiated this lawsuit seeking injunctive and declaratory relief concerning the construction of a two and one-quarter (214) mile freeway extension of New Jersey Route 18 from the foot of the Albany Street Bridge in New Brunswick to Metlars Lane-Leupp Lane in Piscataway Township.
