COFFEY, Circuit Judge.
On June 30, 1999, law enforcement officers in Springfield, Illinois, obtained a warrant to search a motel room occupied by the Defendant-Appellant Huey Whitley. At the time of the execution of the warrant, the officers discovered cocaine and other drug paraphernalia demonstrating that 'Whitley and his companion, Mar-cellus Mitchum, were engaged in the transfer and/or sale of cocaine and cocaine base.
