[ 388] Marjorie Winkler rented a room “with kitchen privileges” from Mrs. Itschner. Mrs. Itschner’s home, 111 Pace Street in Macon, was a one-story frame and stucco dwelling with a basement. Marjorie had lived there six or seven weeks when her husband was discharged from the army and returned to Macon on September 30th, 1947. On October 2, 1947 Harold and Marjorie had supper with Mrs. Itschner and her daughter, Mrs. Alvord, and about-seven o’clock went to the basement to light the “side-arm” gas hot water heater for baths.
