In a first amended information defendant Juan Loya Salas was charged with robbery of Guadalupe Garcia Escobar in violation of section 211 of the Penal Code. It was also alleged that defendant committed the offense with intent to inflict injury, and that he inflicted great bodily injury on the victim. (See Pen. Code, § 213.) In a trial by jury defendant was found guilty. The jury also found to be true the allegation with respect to the intent to inflict such injury and the actual infliction of great bodily injury on the victim. Defendant was sentenced to prison…
