DECISION AND ORDER

MARRERO, District Judge.

Petitioner Maurizio Percan (“Percan”) filed a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255 (“ § 2255”) seeking to vacate his sentence following conviction at trial. Percan was convicted of various counts relating to the interstate transportation of stolen goods, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit these crimes. According to Percan, his counsel was ineffective during his sentencing proceedings and on appeal.
