INTRODUCTION
Jay Espejo, M.D., sued defendants Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and Joseph Huang, M.D. (collectively, defendants), alleging wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation. Defendants petitioned to compel arbitration pursuant to Espejo’s employment agreement and associated documents.
