Victor G. Lantry brought this suit in the district court of Douglas county against James M. Parker, to quiet hie title to a tract of land designated as outlot 215 in the city of Florence. In his petition plaintiff alleged title and possession in himself, and averred that the defendant claimed under a tax deed, which was void and conveyed no title. The defendant, by a counter-claim, alleged title in himself' by adverse possession, and alleged that shortly before the' commencement of the suit his possession was forcibly invaded by agents of the plaintiff.
