On the twenty-third of March last, suit was commenced in this court to recover the value of a bill of goods sold by the plaintiff in October, 1883, to the defendants; and on the same day an attachment was issued, pursuant to the state practice, against the property of the defendant lindos, a resident of the slate of New Jersey. The complaint and affidavit staled that the defendant Fritsch is the Austrian vice-consul at this port.- The defendant Duelos now appears for the purpose only of vacating ihe attachment, on the ground that this court has no jurisdiction of an action against the consul…
