The indictment under which the defendant was tried, in its first count, charged the defendant with the larceny of two ladies’ bracelets of the value of $2,000 and $1,000, respectively, the property of one Verna Pearson. This count of the indictment was withdrawn by the prosecution at the commencement of the trial. By a second count of the indictment the defendant was charged with the crime of criminally receiving stolen property in that the defendant, at the county of New York, on May 27, 1930, bought, received, concealed, withheld and aided in concealing and withholding the chattels…
