In July, 1947, the plaintiff, Stella Vesolowski, brought an action for divorce in the city court of Calumet City against her husband, Charles Vesolowski, charging desertion and habitual drunkenness and alleging special equities in the property of the parties. Subsequently, the cause was transferred to the superior court of Cook County. In addition to answering the complaint, defendant filed a counterclaim for the partition of real property and for an accounting and the appointment of a receiver for a tavern business.
