DENISON, Circuit Judge.

The Stearns Company claimed title to a tract of land in Leslie county, Ky., through a series of patents issued to De Groot, upon contiguous parcels, in 1870. In 1901 it brought an ejectment suit in the court below to recover a large boundary of land within these De Groot patents, and made defendants thereto numerous members and kin of the Hall and Brown families, as well as some others.
