J.This is an application for a writ of mandate compelling the respondents, as the Board of Directors of the Imperial Irrigation District, to meet and count all of the votes cast at an election held in said district on February 6, 1935.
This district was organized under the California Irrigation District Act, approved March 31, 1897, as amended. (Deering’s Gen. Laws, Act 3854.) In 1915 an act was passed giving certain enlarged powers to the board of directors of irrigation districts having an area of more than 500,000 acres. (Stats. 1915, p. 1.)
