The plaintiff’s intestate, his son Peter, was employed by a corporation engaged in reconstructing a railroad bridge over a highway under a contract with the state highway department; he was guiding with his hand a heavy piece of steel structure as it was being moved by a crane; the cable which suspended the steel from the arm of the crane came into contact with one of the wires in an electric transmission line belonging to the defendant; and Peter was electrocuted.
