Denise Wassom (“Plaintiff’) loaned her car to her ex-boyfriend who then had a single-car accident while making a beer run. Plaintiffs vehicle was a total loss. Fearing that her ex-boyfriend might be arrested for DUI, Plaintiff reported to the police that her car had been stolen.
