This is an unemployment compensation case.

After decision of the Board of Appeals denying plaintiff’s claim for unemployment compensation benefits, appeal was taken to the Marengo County Circuit Court for a trial de novo.

At the conclusion of claimant’s evidence, the defendant-Department of Industrial Relations orally requested a directed verdict1 on the ground that plaintiff had not met his burden of proof under § 25-4-77, Code of Alabama (1975).
