Hunter Country Club, Inc. (Hunter) is appealing the district court's grant of summary judgment in favor of the plaintiffs in this copyright infringement lawsuit. The plaintiffs are the individual owners of the copyrights at issue in this case 1 and brought this lawsuit in that capacity. As members of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the plaintiffs have granted to ASCAP a non-exclusive right to license non-dramatic public performances of certain copyrighted musical compositions.
