Appellant entered pleas of guilty to three specifications alleging the offense of attempted robbery.1 Although he was also charged with two specifications alleging assault with intent to commit murder,2 he pleaded guilty in each instance to the lesser included offense of aggravated assault.3 Appellant was found guilty in accordance with his pleas and sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, eight years’ confinement at hard labor, and total forfeitures.4 Pursuant to the terms of a pretrial agreement, the convening authority reduced the confinement portion of the sentence to…
