MURPHY, Circuit Judge.
A jury found Timothy McGlothin guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). On appeal McGlothin asserts the district court erred in admitting at trial evidence of past instances in which he possessed a firearm. See Fed.R.Evid. 404(b); Fed.R.Evid. 403. McGlothin forfeited these arguments by failing to properly raise them before the district court and cannot satisfy the exacting plain-error standard. See United States v.
