The appellant, W.A. Phillips, was convicted of hunting over a "baited field," a violation of § 9-11-244, Ala. Code 1975. He was fined $375 and his hunting privileges were revoked for one year.

The state's evidence tended to show the following. On March 30, 1995, Willie Morris, an officer with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, received a telephone call from Don Taylor.
