This is an appeal by defendant from a judgment entered following his conviction by a jury in Missoula County of the crime of bribery of a judicial officer.

The record discloses that on October 4, 1973, Missoula Deputy County Attorney Ed McLean met with defendant and Floyd Wright at a restaurant in Missoula, Montana, to discuss McLean disposing of gambling charges pending against defendant.
