OPINION

BARAJAS, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, and for failure to stop and render aid. For the reasons stated, we affirm the judgment of the trial court.

I. SUMMARY OF THE EVIDENCE

On February 20, 1998, Francisco Varela, Jr. was driving his truck on Texas Street when he noticed a car approaching from behind at a high rate of speed.
