BACKGROUND
On July 17, 1986 (the “Filing Date”) and thereafter, the LTV Corporation and sixty-six of its subsidiaries, (collectively, the “Debtors”), filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the “Code”) and were continued in the management, operation and possession of their businesses and properties as debtors-in-possession pursuant to §§ 1107 and 1108 of the Code.
