Nuss, J.:
After this court reversed Bobby Bruce White’s first-degree premeditated murder conviction and remanded for a new trial in State v. White, 279 Kan. 326, 109 P.3d 1199 (2005), he was again convicted of the same crime. He again appeals his conviction. Our jurisdiction is under K.S.A. 22-3601(b)(l), a maximum sentence of life imprisonment imposed.
The issues on appeal, and this court’s accompanying holdings, are as follows:
