The defendant, Donald Moody, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a)1 and assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (5).2 The defendant claims that (1) the trial court improperly refused to admit into evidence the full transcript of a defense witness’ statement to police, (2) the prosecutor committed misconduct during cross-examination and closing argument in violation of the defendant’s right to a fair trial and (3) the court failed to investigate…
