COYNE, Justice.

Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of first-degree murder, Minn. Stat. § 609.185(3) (1986), for his role in the intentional murder of a person during the commission of an aggravated robbery. He was sentenced by the trial court to a mandatory term of life imprisonment.
