Marilda Martin, administratrix of the estate of John R. Martin, deceased, filed her complaint in the Greene Circuit Court against the Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville Railway Company and the Perry-MathewsBuskirk Stone Company, averring therein that her decedent’s death was caused by the negligence of the defendants, whereby his next of kin were damaged in the sum of $10,-000, for which she asked judgment. A general verdict was returned against both defendants for $4,000, together with answers to interrogatories. A motion for judgment notwithstanding the general verdict and for a new trial…
