Petitioner, a former state prison employee, filed a grievance against her then employer, the Department of Corrections (doc). A hearing officer denied the grievance, and the Employment Relations Board (erb) reversed the hearing officer’s decision. The Civil Service Commission reversed the erb’s decision and upheld the hearing officer’s denial of the grievance. The Ingham Circuit Court reversed the Civil Service Commission’s decision and remanded the matter to the Department of Civil Service.
