MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

YOUNG, Chief Judge.

INTRODUCTION

The principal events in this case took place during the 1950s and 1960s. Against all odds, the plaintiffs Evelyn Heinrich (“Heinrich”) and Henry M. Sienkewicz (“Sienkewicz”) (collectively “the Plaintiffs”), after protracted pre-trial proceedings, 5 eventually brought the defendants William Sweet, M.D. (“Sweet”) and Massachusetts General Hospital (“Mass General”) (collectively “the Defendants”) to bay before a jury of the people.
