MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

Now pending before this court is the motion for default judgment (Doc. # 17) filed by the plaintiff DIRECTV, Inc., (hereinafter “DIRECTV”) on July 21, 2004. By its motion, DIRECTV seeks a default judgment against the defendant Charlie Trawick (hereinafter “Trawick”), an award of statutory damages in the amount of $10,000.00, and $850.00 in attorneys’ fees and costs.
