Under four policies of insurance issued by defendant, plaintiff sued to recover disability benefits claimed to have become due from October 30, 1936, to and including January 30, 1937, and refund of premiums paid on the ground that plaintiff was totally and permanently disabled within the meaning of the policies during the period in question.
