Miss Frances Daughtry brought an action against Georgia Power Company for damages on account of personal injuries. The allegations of her petition so far as now material were substantially as follows: That the defendant operated a street railway in the City of Atlanta on Peachtree Street between Ellis and Cain Streets, on January 23, 1936; that at about 2 p. m., on that date and at the said place she awaited the arrival of a Forrest Avenue car going north; that when she saw this car approaching she proceeded to the concrete platform in Peachtree Street at Cain Street for the purpose of…
