This is an action for libel, based upon an article which appeared in the Hilo Tribune Herald, a daily newspaper owned and published by the defendant. After .alleging the corporate existence of the defendant and that it is and was at all times mentioned in the complaint engaged in the business of publishing and circulating the newspaper known as Hilo Tribune Herald and that said newspaper had at all times mentioned a general circulation throughout the Territory of Hawaii and elsewhere, and that the plaintiff was and is a resident of and deputy sheriff in and…
