Grimsley (plaintiffs) appeal from orders entered 5 April 1993, 21 September 1993, and 1 November 1993 in Craven County Superior Court, granting Leroy Jerome Nelson’s (defendant) motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction, denying plaintiffs’ written motion to enlarge and oral motion for extension of time to serve the original summons, and granting *331Travelers Indemnity Company’s (Travelers) motion for judgment on the pleadings.
