I. INTRODUCTION
On June 3, 2014, the City of Seattle (“the City” or “Seattle”), enacted Ordinance Number 124490 (“the Ordinance”), which establishes a $15 minimum hourly wage. In doing so, Seattle joined dozens of other cities nationwide that have increased the minimum wage beyond both federal and state mínimums.1 The City’s stated reason for increasing the minimum wage was to reduce income inequality.
