In 1995, Plaintiff Eli Lilly and Company (“Lilly”) filed this action against Defendant Zenith Goldline Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Zenith”), formerly Zenith Laboratories, Inc., and three other American and Italian drug companies 1 alleging infringement of certain patents owned by Lilly for the making of cefaclor, an antibiotic.
