OPINION

KLEINSCHMIDT, Judge.

¶ 1 In this case we hold that an Arizona court does not have jurisdiction to issue a writ of garnishment to attach a bank account in an out-of-state branch of an interstate bank which does business in Arizona. We reverse the judgment against the garnishee.

¶ 2 The plaintiff in this case, Desert Wide Cabling, had a judgment against Quadra Computers, Inc. In the belief that Premises One owed money to Quadra Computers, Desert Wide served a writ of garnishment on Premises One. Premises One failed to answer the writ, and Desert Wide obtained a default judgment against it…
