Defendants in this consolidated proceeding appeal from convictions for illegal possession and sale of marihuana in hashish form, ORS 474.020. The main issue centers on alleged failure of police to comply *34with. Oregon’s “knock and announce” statute, ORS 133.290,① in executing a search warrant.
