ATWELL, District Judge.
There is presented to the court, without having been filed with the Clerk, an unverified petition for a writ of habeas corpus, on behalf of Johnnie Caesar. The petition is signed by Tom B. Scott, and John Jasper, as attorneys for the petitioner.
It is alleged that Caesar is confined in the state penitentiary. That the date of his electrocution is tomorrow, the 21st day of May, 1939, shortly after midnight; that the offense for which he has been convicted is that of murdering a negro woman.
