We granted certiorari to review the court of appeals’ decision in Cugnini v. Reynolds Cattle Co., 648 P.2d 159 (Colo.App.1981), reversing the trial court’s ruling that the plaintiffs, Duane and Pat Cugnini, d/b/a Hi-Country Cattle Company (the Cugninis), are entitled to recover on their action for conversion against defendant Reynolds Cattle Company (Reynolds).
