This is an action on the case to recover damages for a personal injury sustained by the plaintiff, resulting in the amputation of his left arm, while in the employ of the defendant at its passenger station in the city of Detroit. The plaintiff was employed as a car repairer in the month of June, 1907. He was first assigned to do car repairing work on what is known as the “repair track,” at the passenger station of defendant.
