The venue was changed, on his application, to the County of DeKalb, where a special term was ordered to be held, commencing on the fourteenth day of June, 1852, for his trial; at which time he was tried and convicted, the trial lasting two weeks, and was sentenced by the court, on the finding of the jury, to the penitentiary for life.
