CURTIS, J.—
An indictment was presented against the petitioner charging her with the crime of murder, to which she interposed the plea of not guilty, and also the plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. She was thereafter brought to trial on said indictment in the Superior Court of the County of Sacramento, before a jury, and found guilty of murder in the second degree. She was then tried upon her plea of “not guilty by reason of insanity,” and the jury returned a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity at the time of the commission of the offense charged.
